At InfoNest, our editorial process is the foundation of everything we publish. These standards apply to every article, whether it covers the mechanics of compound interest or the science behind sleep. No article goes live until it meets the criteria below.

Our Editorial Philosophy

We believe that good editorial work starts with genuine curiosity and ends with clarity. We don't assign articles based on what's trending or what search engines reward most heavily in a given week. We assign articles based on what readers actually need to understand, and we write them in a way that delivers that understanding efficiently and honestly.

InfoNest publishes evergreen content: articles that remain useful months or years after they're written. This means we avoid writing about breaking news or topical events that will be irrelevant within a week. We focus on the kind of knowledge that compounds, the more you understand, the more useful it becomes.

Research Standards

Every article begins with a research phase. Writers are expected to:

• Consult primary sources (academic papers, government publications, official documentation) wherever possible
• Verify statistics by tracing them to their original source, not a secondary blog post or news article
• Review multiple perspectives on contested topics, particularly in health, finance, and technology
• Note the date of any time-sensitive data to ensure readers know when information was current

We do not publish content that is copied, paraphrased wholesale from other sources, or generated without original research. Every article represents original writing based on verified research.

Writing Standards

Writers are expected to produce content that is:

• Accurate: Factual claims are verified. Opinions are clearly labeled as such.
• Clear: Jargon is either avoided or explained. Complex ideas are broken down without condescending to the reader.
• Complete: Articles address their topic substantively. We don't publish thin content that raises questions without answering them.
• Useful: Every article should leave the reader knowing something they can act on, think about, or share with confidence.
• Honest about uncertainty: Where the evidence is unclear or contested, we say so. We don't project false certainty to make articles sound more authoritative.

Review Process

Before publication, each article is reviewed for factual accuracy, logical structure, and adherence to our writing standards. Articles in high-stakes categories, particularly health and finance, receive additional scrutiny to ensure they include appropriate disclaimers and do not make claims that exceed what the evidence supports.

Corrections Policy

When we publish an error, factual, statistical, or contextual, we correct it promptly and transparently. We do not quietly edit articles and pretend the error never existed. Where corrections are made to published articles, we note the correction at the bottom of the piece with the date it was made.

Editorial Independence

InfoNest's content is editorially independent. Advertising relationships, including our participation in Google AdSense, have no influence on what we cover or how we cover it. We do not accept sponsored content, paid reviews, or payments in exchange for coverage. If any affiliate or sponsored content were to appear in the future, it would be clearly and prominently labeled as such.

Updates and Content Maintenance

We review published articles periodically, especially in fast-moving fields like technology and AI. When significant updates are made to reflect new information, the article's "last updated" date is revised. We believe a living, maintained archive serves readers better than a frozen collection of outdated posts.

Author Attribution and Expertise

Every article is attributed to a named author with a visible bio. Authors are expected to have genuine familiarity with the topics they cover, whether through professional background, academic study, or sustained independent research. We do not publish anonymous content, and we do not obscure who is responsible for what we publish.
